The Process

A relaxed, thoughtful process designed to make your family feel comfortable and your portraits unforgettable.

1. Planning Your Session:

It all starts with a conversation about your family, your home, and the style of artwork you love. Together, we’ll choose the perfect location, talk through wardrobe ideas, and plan a session that feels relaxed and true to you.

This stage is all about comfort and connection, so by the time we meet, you’ll feel prepared, confident, and excited.

2. Your Portrait Session:

Your session will feel more like time spent together than a photoshoot. I’ll gently guide you with a mix of natural direction and classic portraits, so you’ll have both the beautifully composed images and the spontaneous in-between moments that tell your story.

Whether it’s a family of six, grandparents joining in, or a brand-new baby, I know how to keep things calm, fun, and natural. No stress, no rush.

3. The Design Consultation:

A week or two after your session, you’ll join me for a personalised viewing and design appointment. This is where the magic happens - you’ll either laugh or cry happy tears as you see your images for the first time and I’ll guide you through creating beautiful artwork for your home.

From custom wall collections to fine art albums, we’ll design pieces that suit your space and your family perfectly.

The Portrait Experience

Each portrait session is designed to be a relaxed, meaningful experience from beginning to end. It’s a chance to slow down, connect, and create artwork your family will treasure for generations.

The following sessions are bespoke photography experiences:

Family / Generation Session – $125
Maternity Session – $125
Newborn Family Session – $125

Every session includes:

A personalised pre-shoot planning and styling consultation
An approximately 1–2 hour portrait session at my Papamoa Beach studio (maternity & newborn only) or a meaningful location of your choice - beach, park, home, farm or favourite outdoor setting
A private viewing and design appointment at my home studio, where we’ll choose your favourite images and create custom artwork for your home
